Heute endlich mal wieder Zeit mir der Kamera los zuziehen. Ich bin dann heute morgen einfach nach #Köln gefahren und habe mich ein wenig am #Dom und in der #Altstadt rumgetrieben.
Nicht lange nur für 2 Stunden, hat sich trotzdem gelohnt.

Ambiance à Tour & Taxis avec le quartier du manga à la foire du livre dans la gare maritime et un espace vert aménagé dans cette même halle. A l'extérieur lorsqu'on vient de Bruxelles-Nord, on passe devant les locaux de l'école de cirque de Bruxelles qui occupent des locaux sur le site, évocation avec ce tracteur et cette roulotte.

Imprssions of Tour & Taxis with the Manga District at the Brussels Book Fair and a green space in the former maritime railway station. Outside, when we walk from Brussels-North railway station, we come across the Circus School of Brussels which uses a part of the sheds, evocation with this tractor and this caravan.

Lorsque je me balade dans une ville, je suis toujours attentif à ces oeuvres qui couvrent les murs. J'ai aussi souvent la tête en l'air (je sais, ça peut être dangereux!) et les enseignes originales font partie de ces petits détails que j'aime à prendre en photo. Voici, ce que j'ai aperçu, hier, lors de mes périgrinations à Bruxelles.

When I walk in a city, I'm always have consideration for thoses artwork that cover the walls. i also often have the head looking above (which can be dangerous, I know!) and original signs are little details I like to photograph. Here are those I saw yesterday while in Brussels.

Après avoir dîné chez "Cassonade", un restaurant solidaire dont la cuisine est faite par des bénévoles, j'ai rejoins le G.R. 126 pour rallier la place de Brouckère en passant par la place Sainte-Catherine et l'église du Béguinage.

"Cassonade" est un endroit bien sympathique à découvrir à Molenbeek-Saint-Jean. Le principe : à l'entrée, vous recevez un bon avec le nom de la personne qui vous offre le repas grâce au don qu'elle a faite lors de sa précédente visite. On vous installe à l'une des grandes tables où très vite les places se remplissent et où très vite, le contact se noue, ici se mélangent français, néerlandais, anglais et arabe notamment. Un joyeux patchwork de nationalités pour un repas convivial, le jeudi, quelle chance, c'était le repas végétarien et ce midi, c'était un mafé, un plat du Sénégal. Le nom du restaurant "Cassonade" a été choisi car il se trouve dans une partie de l'ancienne raffinerie Graefe dont la cassonade est bien connue de tous les belges amateurs de crêpes sucrée. A la fin du repas, on remplit soi-même un petit bon et l'on fait un don pour offrir un repas à quelqu'un d'autre un autre jour. De l'eau, du thé et du café sont à disposition.

After having dinner at "Cassonade", a solidarity restaurant whose cuisine is made by volunteers, I joined the G.R. 126 to reach the Place de Brouckère via the Place Sainte-Catherine and the Beguinage church.

"Cassonade" is a very nice place to discover in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean. The principle: at the entrance, you receive a voucher with the name of the person who offers you the meal thanks to the donation someone made during his/her previous visit. You are seated at one of the large tables where very quickly the seats fill up and where very quickly, contact is made, here French, Dutch, English and Arabic are mixed. A joyful patchwork of nationalities for a convivial meal, on Thursday, what a luck, it was the vegetarian meal and this lunchtime, it was a "mafé", a dish from Senegal. The name of the restaurant "Cassonade" was chosen because it is located in a part of the former Graefe refinery, whose brown sugar is well known to all Belgians who love sweet pancakes. At the end of the meal, you fill out a small voucher yourself and make a donation to offer a meal to someone else on another day. Water, Tea and Coffee are also provided.

Ce fût, comme prévu une longue journée mais une très belle journée! Mon projet de visiter à chaque visite à Bruxelles de nouveaux quartiers commence à s'étoffer. Aujourd'hui, profitant de ma visite à la foire du livre qui se tient jusqu'à dimanche sur le site de l'ancienne gare maritime de Tour et Taxis. L'occasion de parcourir deux sections de deux G.R. différents.

Première série : de la gare du Nord à Tour et Taxis.

As I foreseen, it's been a long day but a very nice day! Each time I go to Brussels, I try to discover new districts and today I added a new one on the occasion of my visit to the Brussels Book festival in the former maritim railway station of Thurn and Taxis. An occasion to make a urban hike as I followed two different long distance trails.

First part : from the North Station to Thurn and Taxis.
