The last lot of photos from our week around the East Neuk of Fife.

This area is Fife Ness, the easternmost point of the East Neuk of Fife. There's a lot of golfing to be had here, but we were more interested in the beachs and rocks around this gorgeous coastline https://www.iancylkowski.com/blog/2025/3/15/fife-ness-east-neuk-of-fife-scotland-winter

Going to start a wee gallery on my blog called 'view from the bench'. This'll be one of the first images.

A black public bench is in the foreground. Beyond the bench there is some grass mixed with sandy dunes which rises up slightly as it moves away from the bench. Behind the grass a calm blue sea is visible and, in the distance, the Isle of Arran covers the full width of the photo. There are a few small clouds but the sky is mostly clear blue.

Columnar jointing forms when thick lava masses cool and contract;the shrinking is accommodated by the solid mass dividing naturally into columns with four or more sides (normally six).

There is something a bit weird going on. Been sorting through my photos from the last week & LOADS of clouds are forming with open mouths. This is not normal. You'd get one every now and then but honestly, they're EVERYWHERE.

I, of course, welcome our new Chompy Cloud Overlords but still... it's a bit odd. There is, I suppose, a slight chance that I have just spent too long looking at clouds.

It's a mystery

It wasn't always gorgeous weather during our stay around the East Neuk of Fife. When it was more gloomy, we headed to Dundee to check the city out.

In particular, the V&A Dundee Museum of Design proved a totally fascinating subject
